It is indeed a welcome fact that not only huge invest of 57 billion dollars is being made in energy, infrastructure and other sectors in Pakistan under comprehensive China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) umbrella but more and more Chinese companies are also coming here to make investment in different sectors alongside CPEC financed projects . Chinese businessmen, industrialists and investors are visiting Pakistan now quite frequently to explore possibilities of setting up their business concerns here, enter into joint venture in fields of their interest and attraction and thus creating large number of employment opportunities as well for Pakistani technicians and workers. The other day, according to the reports, Chairman of Board, China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation Gao Hongwei and Chairman of Board, China Precision Machinery Import Export Corporation Zhao Xiaolong called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad who told them that increasing cooperation of Pakistan with China will not only bring prosperity for both countries but will also become source of progress for the entire region. The prime minister told them further strategic location of Pakistan makes it premier trade, energy and transport corridor of Asia and invited Chinese investors to benefit from liberal investment climate which prevails in Pakistan with no restrictions whatsoever on remittance of profit back home. In response, the visiting heads of Chinese corporations not only showed interest in developing business here but also pointedly stated that their companies are in contact at appropriate level with relevant authorities in Pakistan. Needless to mention here time-tested, all weather friendly relations between neighbouring countries of China and Pakistan are being further cemented and strengthened with every passing day with greater speed after CPEC was launched formally couple of years back and implementation of energy and infrastructure projects in different parts of the country is not only going to boost economic progress and increase regional connectivity but gradually greater employment opportunities are also being created. All this augurs well for people of every region, area of Pakistan in more than one way who are and will be benefitting from profits accruing through CPEC funded projects directly and indirectly.
