operation. I agreed with the words of Jonathan Haidt who thought that the most powerful force ever known on this planet is human cooperation – a force for construction and destruction. Corruption exists in every country of the world. Mostly corruption is much more prevalent in the developing countries. If we ask why corruption is increasing day by day in the developing countries? The simple answer being that money is a temptation that can overcome social taboo. Corruption has become one of the most significant problem in Pakistan. Corruption is increasing due to the mutual cooperation of all having their vested interests and also negligence of rules of laws by the Government. Corruption involves dishonest, fraudulent actions and misuse of powers. According to the Economic forums annual report (2016-2017) stated Pakistan ranked 117 among 168 countries in corruption. However too much abuse of power increase corruption and society begins to break down. Another report of World Bank mentioned it among the greatest obstacles to economic and social development. It undermines development by distorting the rule of law and weakening the institutional foundation on which economic growth depends. Unfortunately, Pakistan progress has been slowed down due to corruption. Government is not taking proper measures to end corruption from the state. Pakistan is facing many crises and instability. Corruption has become synonymous with our existing system and is pushing our nation to a dead end. Corruption has gained roots in our society because of wrong decisions and weak policies of the successive governments. In Pakistan corruption is more like a national game. It is present at every level and is considered most noble profession in the country. Corruption is not successful without cooperation. Cooperation is important element involved in corruption which allows people and groups to work together to achieve a common goal or derive mutual benefits. Pakistan’s politics is suffering from the mutual game of corruption and cooperation. Today, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family are facing Panama leaks corruption case. The opposition party (PPPP) did not submit legal case against the Prime Minister in the Supreme Court of Pakistan because it is the result of Misaq-e-Jamhoriyat agreement (Charter of Democracy). The 36 points agreement which is not allowing opposition party to take action against the ruling party if even the ruling party is involved in corruption case. Corruption is a serious threat to the rule of law, the stability and security of societies. It jeopardizes the fair distribution of resources since it undermines fundamental democratic values and institutions and impedes social, economic and political development and the enjoyment of human rights. Citizens will also contribute to end corruption from country and will discourage the cooperation formula in politics of Pakistan. Pakistan is submerged into corruption because of the absence of fundamental lack of justice, along with absence of proper implementation of law, political instability, lack of accountability, lack of awareness, poverty, un-employment, unequal status of common masses and lack of moral character in society.

To end the corruption from Pakistan it is political leader’s responsibility to take strict measures against the corrupt elements in government and its institutions thus put an end to corruption from the country.
