Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times)  Saying that people of Azad Kashmir are passing through a turbulent and testing time, AJK prime minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan has said Ulema and Mushaikh to play their proactive role in promoting mutual unity and brotherhood in the country. Addressing a condolence reference of the father of member AJK legislative assembly Pir Ali Raza Bukhari and Urs ceremony of the father of Syed Shaukat Ali Shah, he said that all Muslims are believer of Allah and followers of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and there is no room for prejudices and sectarianism among them. He said that Azad Kashmir is peaceful region and no one would be allowed to stoke sectarianism and spread hatred. Terming new wave of terrorism as deep rooted conspiracy against Islam and Pakistan, the prime minister said that the people of Azad Kashmir are quite upset over the new wave of terrorism in Pakistan. He said that we firmly believe that strong and stable Pakistan can play a role for the freedom of Kashmir and it is our national responsibility to make conspiracies of enemy fail. Raja Farooq Haider Khan paid tributes to Pak Army, rangers and police for their sacrifices to the security and stability if the country. AJK prime minister said that his government is going to hold local bodies election to involve the common masses in the affairs of the government. He said that development process is underway to uplift the liberated area as per vision of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Farooq Haider said that a joint strategy had been evolved with mutual consultation in national action plan,and consensus against terrorism is there,he expressed the hope that through its implementation, terrorism would be eliminated from the country and it would be made a haven of peace. “Ulema have to eliminate the open contradiction in the society and we all have to settle our issues jointly by learning a lesson from the past. Nation has high hopes and we have to come up to their expectations. Country can be rid of terrorism, extremism and sectarianism by following Uswa-e-Hasna of Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him),” the prime minister held. Farooq Haider reiterated that Pakistan would be an Islamic welfare state in the real sense by changing the course of history. Federal minister for State Tariq Fazal Choudhry, Speaker AJK Legislative Assembly Shah Ghulam Qadir, Minister Information Mushtaq Minhas, and other political and social leaders also spoke on the occasion. The Prime Minister said Kashmir is land of saints who taught us to live with peace, love and mutual coexistence and added that only those will live on in the hearts and minds of people who had worked for the wellbeing humankind. He urged the ulema to come forward and preach the real teachings of Islam that categorically forbid taking lives of innocent people.
