Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) A new Salary package was announced for the staff who would be deployed on double shift duty in the relevant schools of Punjab including Rawalpindi.
A decision has been taken that relevant teachers of double shift schools would be teaching in the schools second time around also.
The school head would be paid normal salary along with Rs20,000 extra, while senior teachers would be Rs18000 extra salary for the double shift. The Junior teachers would be paid Rs15,000 extra, while other employees would be paid Rs7,000 extra.
The Teachers Union of Punjab has termed the double shift move in school a flop idea, while schools wherein double shift is operating have failed to show any fruitful results till now. They further said that several parents don’t give permission to their daughter to stay in schools till Maghrib prayers timings.
