Islamabad: (Parliament Times) The Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Cardiology Department 31 employees including Nine Doctors are working without salaries for the last 20 months.

According to documents around 31 employees are working in PIMS Cardiology Department from the Grade 16 to Grade 20, however, they are working without salaries for the last 20 months. Among the affectees Nine are senior Doctors 22 technical staff of Cardiology department. The administration has also not taken decision whether to employee them on permanent basis or remove them from their positions.

PIMS Cardiology Department Head Professor Dr Fareed-ullah Khan is working in Grade 20, Assistant Professor Atar Ali is working in Grade 18. The three medical officers working in Grade 17 Dr Rafique, Dr Faisal, Dr Marukh Zahoor, and Javed Iqbal in Grade 17.

The documents further revealed that these employees have not been paid salaries since July 2015. It is pertinent to mention here that these 31 employees were hired in 2006 on the project of Cardiac centre.
