HYDERABAD :Â Indian tennis star Sania Mirza has been summoned by Service Tax Department over alleged evasion of tax.
According to details, Sania Mirza has been advised to appear before Service Tax Department on February 16, and she cannot leave country without permission.
Sania Mirza is Telangana s brand ambassador and was paid ten million rupees for that. It has been informed that she has to pay tax of 20 lac rupees on that amount.
Telangana government had made her brand ambassador in 2014.
