Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) A family and a man have been looted at gunpoint within the Saddar and New Town police jurisdictions.

Mohammad Khan, a resident of Saddar, lodged a complaint with the local police that he was going on motorcycle when four motorcyclists intercepted him held him hostage at gunpoint and made off with Rs9500, a cell phone, a laptop, and other valuables.

Sardar Mohammad Ijaz, a resident of New Town, lodged a complaint with the local police that he was going with his family when robbers waylaid him, held him hostage at gunpoint and made off with Rs25,000 in cash, gold ornaments, and other valuables.

The police have registered a case and started investigation.
