Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) President Azad Jammu & Kashmir Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan while appreciating the humanitarian activities of Pakistan Red Crescent said that fundamental principles and voluntary services of PRC made this organization a distinction. PRC work is admirable, the living standards of Kashmiri people has improved to a great extent through PRC humanitarian programs. The government cooperation with the PRC will continue in the future.
The President AJK expressed this during a meeting with Administrator Pakistan Red Crescent GhulamMuhiud Din at Kashmir House Islamabad. The Administrator PRC AJK State Branch presented a detailed report of the steps taken for the improvement of PRC State Branch to the President.
The President said seven fundamental principles of the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement provide guidance in the humanitarian services and recognition of this organization.
The President of AJK appreciated the steps taken by the Administrator and said that the cooperation of President Secretariat will continue with the PRC in future.
The Administrator PRC AJK State Branch appraised the President of steps including improvement in human resource system, logistics and administrations system, transport system and warehousing systems of PRC AJK State Branch.
The President advised the Administrator to accelerate the activities of first aid, disaster preparedness and school safety for remote and far flung areas of AJK.
Meanwhile addressing the students and faculty members of the University of Management Sciences and Information Technology Kotli, president highly appreciated the untiring efforts of Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Dr. Ghulam Ghous for turning a faculty into a standard university. He termed success of the university as achievement of the people of Kotli and advised the students to play their role for the accomplishment of the mission of Kashmir liberation struggle, renaissance of their cultural and moral values. The president said we have achieved the objectives of higher education and now is time that we should keep our focus on the improvement of the standard of education.
