Islamabad: (Parliament Times) Acting AJK Prime Minister Chaudhry Tariq Farooq has said government is prepared to provide all requisite facilities to the investors for promotion of investment in the state. He was talking to President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chambers of Commerce Zulfiqar Abbasi here on Monday.
He said that a Grand Industrial Zone is being setup under China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and steps are being taken to setup more Industrial zones at districts level. He urged the Chambers of Commerce to play its role and assured that government is ready to provide enabling environment for the purpose. The acting Prime Minister also assured to take more steps for promotion of Cross LoC Trade between the two parts of Kashmir. Chaudhry Tariq Farooq invited the investors to invest in hydropower generation, tourism and industrial sectors and said government will take all necessary steps in consultation with the Chambers of Commerce to promote Intra Kashmir Trade.
Earlier Zulfiqar Abbasi briefed the acting Prime Minister about the potential of investment in AJK and related issues. Later senior leader of Muslim League Azim Bakhsh, Chaudhry Jhangir from Bhimber, Khalid Rathore and others called on Prime Minister Chaudhry Tariq Farooq. The acting Prime Minister also visited National Press Club Islamabad and felicitated newly elected office bearers of the club.
