Rawalpindi:Â (Parliament Times) Â President College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) Professor Zafar Ullah Chudhry has said that the college has achieved excellence in academics as well as excellent performance awards in introducing world standard examinations, monitoring and evaluation systems by Health Organizations of international repute.
He stated this while addressing press conference on Sunday at Rawalpindi. The Senior Vice President CPSP Professor Khalid Masood Gondal, Vice Present Naqeeb Ullah Achokzai, Professor Syed Khalid Ahmed Ashrafi, Maj Gen. Sulman Ali, Professor Muhammad Asghar Butt, Professor Muhammad Shoaib Shafi, Professor Ghulam Mujtaba, Professor Waqar Alam Jan, Professor Arshad Waheed and Dr. Syed Waqar Ahmed also present.
Prof. Zafar Ullah Chaudhry said that CPSP has been given best award in South Asia on initiating ACLS, ATLS, BLS, SALS , ALS advance courses in SAARC countries while college innovations had been recognized by awarding quality award in Geneva due to its extra ordinary services in Education, Science and Technology. He said we had been excelling in 73 specialized disciplines and our trainees were rendering various world class health Institutions for the period of two years. He further said that we had so far been trained 27,446 specialists in medical profession and fulfilling 95% demand of medical specialists in the country.
The President CPSP further revealed that we believe in Brain Gain not in Brain Drain and all our trainees serving in the country after completing their foreign training. He said a new Regional Directorate of CPSP would be established in Gilgit Bultistan to facilitate the doctors of GB. He was of the new that structured training programme of CPSP has enabled doctors to increase their proficiency in different disciplines and 3170 supervisors were conducting specialized medical examination in different counties. He also mentioned the MoU’s signed between CPSP and foreign medical institutions which had opened new avenues of medical training in quality medical institutions.
Professor Masood gondal Vice Principal CPSP, in a briefing highlighted the achievement of college and said that it is one of the Premier Professional Medical Training Institution which is rendering meritorious service in specialized medical education.
Professor Dr. Muahmmad Shoaib Shafi stated on the occasion that the high standard of CPSP has become an international reference due to commitment and quality education progamme and its credit goes to the dedicated spirit of Counsel Members as well as the President CPSP.
