FAISALABAD:Â (Parliament Times) Islam is the religion of peace and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) practiced and replicated the teachings of Islam in its true sense throughout his life, said renowned religious scholar Maulana Abdul Karim Sultani.
Addressing a Mehfil-e-Milad in Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI), here today, he said that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was a reformist par excellence. He taught us to behave respectfully even with our worst opponents in a manner to attract them towards the true teaching of Islam. He said that many non Muslims had a personal grudge with Prophet Muhammad but the attitude of Prophet forced them to embrace Islam only due to His behavior and teachings of Islam.
He said that the holy month of Rabi-ul-Awal is actually a period to provide Muslims an opportunity to refresh their pledge to follow the footprints of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He said that the holdings of meetings of Milad give a new courage to the followers of Muhammad (PBUH) to enlighten their lives and souls by narrating the deeds of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
He said that no doubt the Muslims hold meetings and religious sittings to celebrate the birthday of holy Prophet (PBUH) but its reflection must be displayed in their practical lives. He also appreciated the administration of FCCI for regularly holding the Milad sitting every year in a most befitting manner.
Acting President Rana Sikandar Azam thanked the participants of this religious sitting and said that it is the tradition of FCCI to hold Milad every year and this process will also continue in the coming years. He also expressed satisfaction over the massive participation of business community in this religious sitting and said that it is indicative of the fact that the businessmen are generally inclined towards religion and have unflinching faith in the advent of last Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Famous Naat Khwaan from Karachi Muhammad Awais Raza Qadari paid poetic tribute to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) along with Muhammad Shehzad Ilyas Madni.
Later, former president FPCCI Mian Muhammad Adrees and former President FCCI Mian Javaid Iqbal presented a memento to Naat Khawan Awais Raza Qadri while Acting President FCCI Rana Sikandar-e-Azam handed over FCCI shield to Maulana Kareem Sultani.
