Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) Azad Jammu and Kashmir Cabinet Development Committee (CDC) on Tuesday accorded approval for four developmental projects of Forests department and Information Technology (IT) Board of worth 711.749 million rupees. Three projects of Forests department; Integrated Community based Watershed Management System for Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot and Mirpur and Computerization of Land Record in Diheerkot, Hattian Bala and Dadyal sub divisions were approved.

CDC met under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider , here to discuss different agenda items. AJK Prime Minister while speaking on this occasion said that Azad Kashmir was the defense line of Pakistan and development in Azad Kashmir is compared with one in Indian Occupied Kashmir.

He directed authorities to work with missionary zeal to complete the approved projects within given time frame. He said that all development projects would be monitored and no delay or substandard material would be accepted at any cost. He hoped that AJ&K would be turned into developed state soon.

The Prime Minister directed that transparency must be maintained in all the projects. He directed for demarcation of forests. Forests are our national assets, safety of forests be ensured through inclusive of local community in safety campaign, he said. He directed the Revenue Department and IT board to work with complete coordination so computerization of land record could be completed well in time.

Minister for Finance, Planning and Development Dr. Najeeb Naqi, Minister for Education Barrister Iftikhar Gillani, Minister for Works Ch Muhammad Aziz, Minister for Food Syed Shaukat Shah, Minister for Revenue Sardar Farooq Sakindar, Chief Secretary Sultan Sikandar Raja, Additional Chief Secretary Development Syed Asif Shah, secretaries to the government and head of departments attended the meeting.
