Paris:Â We have launched a campaign from Paris for collecting millions of signatures against Indian atrocities and gross human rights violations committed by its regular and paramilitary forces in occupied part of Jammu and Kashmir, says PTI France leader Zahid Hashmi while addressing a gathering in front of Eiffel Tower the other day. Mr Hashmi said, a petition will be filed in International Court of Justice (ICJ) against Indian brutalities that its over 700 thousand troops are committing in Kashmir.
He appealed to the world community to rejoin our signature campaign and help the oppressed people of Kashmir in securing their right to self -determination that was to them in United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolution almost seven decades ago.
A number of speakers spoke on the occasion urging the civilised world and a number of human rights organizations working across the globe to play their role to pressuring the Indian authorities and Modi government to halt its hostilities and atrocities and to take measures for peaceful resolution of the Kashmir Issue.
They strongly condemned the latest wave of human rights violations in Kashmir Valley by Indian army in which the forces use pellet gun bullets, as a result of which hundreds of children, men and women have been deprived of their eye-sight. Its a shame that the  world human rights organization specially from the western world have been unsuccessful in having access to the victims and the Modi government is adamant and refusing them entrance to the region. ‘The signing of this petition is seen as a mile stone in promoting  the Kashmiris struggle for freedom and exposing Indian “real face” of its so-called democracy and secularism’, the speakers concluded.
