Mirpur:(Parliament Times)Â AJK president Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan has said that universities syllabus would be made compatible with global market. Addressing the students of Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST) and reception hosted by Azad Jammu Kashmir chambers of commerce, he said that female students of our educational institutions are showing better performance than the males, which reflects the fact that women in our part of the world enjoy equal opportunities of development in Azad Kashmir. He said that think-tanks would established in the universities of AJK besides holding English debates on the issue of Kashmir and freedom moment among the male and female students of the universities. The president said that all the recruitments, transfers and promotions would be made on Merritt. He said that private sectors would also be given representations in the Senate and Syndicate of the MUST University, adding that political pressure would be strongly resisted in the recruitments of the educational system. Referring to the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the president urged the students to equip themselves with required skills and the academic capability otherwise people from China, Hong Kong, Singapore and other countries would come to work in the CPEC project. He further said that government has planned to setup economic zones in Mirpur, Bimber and other areas besides developing and improving the infrastructure for the promotion of tourism in Azad Kashmir. Earlier addressing the reception hosted by Mirpur chambers of commerce and industries, the president assured the resolution of problems being faced by traders, investors and the private sector. He said that the state can’t achieve the goals of progress and prosperity without the participation of private sector.
