KARACHI – One more Congo affected patient in Karachi died on Sunday.
Muhammad Nasir, resident of Model Colony, was under-treatment in Dow University’s Ojha Campus.
He was confirmed of having the virus after undergoing tests in a private laboratory.
After Nasir’s death, the toll in Karachi has reached nine in the ongoing year whereas atleast 70 patients have been admitted in numerous private and government hospitals of the metropolis.
The patients were discharged later after recovery.
Congo fever is a tick-borne viral disease which is mainly transferred to humans from pets. Its symptoms include fever, flu, bloody urine, vomiting and nose bleeding.
