Islamabad: (Parliament Times) The residents of federal capital have been feeling unsafe due to the ever increasing incidents of abduction.
During 20 days of November, 12 cases of kidnapping including 7 girls have been registered in different police stations. Police failed to recover the abductees except a few.
According to details in police station (PS) Sehala 2, PS Koral, PS Gohlra, PS Noon, PS Shahzad Town, PS Sabzimandi one each have been kidnapped. All the complainants told the police that girls have been abducted for rape by notorious people.
In PS Ramna on the order of Islamabad High Court a case of kidnapping of Khalid Khawaja has been registered against eminent anchorperson Hamid Mir.
In addition to this in the jurisdictions of PS Tarnol, PS Secretariat, PS Karachi Company and PS Khana one each young man have been abducted. But up till now no one has been recovered.
Federal Police is always initially reluctant to register a case. Complainants are also facing an ugly situation and feeling perturbed while visiting the Police Stations.
