QUETTA: We will never compromise or let go of our democratic values, said Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party Chairperson Mahmood Khan Achakzai while addressing a press conference on Thursday.
The leader also remarked that his party allied with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif due to their commitment towards democracy, adding that he will never support anti-state forces.
“We are and will always be against Martial Law.†Corruption is country’s most dangerous diseased, he added. Speaking about the current political scenario, Achakzai said that targeting someone on the basis of corruption is a political move.
He further said that investigation should also make against those who dismissed the Constitution, adding that they wouldn’t allow anyone to end democracy from the country.
The PAMP leader further said that why not investigation being carried out against those who killed dozens of people on May 12, 2007 during the era of General (retd) Pervez Musharraf.
Achakzai said we would have to consider Afghanistan an independent country if we want peace there. He stated that security situation in Pakistan would be improved if law and order improves in Afghanistan. He was also of the opinion that issues between Saudi Arabia and Iran would also effect on Pakistan’s stability.
