Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani has strongly condemned the arrest of Tehreek-e-Hurriyet leader, Mohammad Yousuf Falahi.
Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar deplored that the highly educated class of mortgaged bureaucracy had slapped draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA) on Muhammad Yousuf Falahi and shifted him to Kathua jail in Jammu.
“During the five months of uprising Muhammad Yousuf Falahi made the police and administration to lick the dust and to nab him residences of all his relatives and friends were raided. His brothers and nephews were arrested to put pressure on him. Failing to subjugate him, cowardly police proclaimed him an offender and announced a bounty on his head. When these measures also failed, the police resorted to randomly ransacking his house, breaking everything coming in their way and thrashing the inmates madly,†he said.
Syed Ali Gilani said that putting pressure on a political worker could only be termed as the act of vandalism and highhandedness as he was doing everything within the contours of human and international commitments but India in the arrogance of power and might had been in the denial mode for the last seven decades and had occupied the territory only by force with the help of its puppets.
The APHC Chairman said that oppressors were habitual of selective behaviour and they only applause and let live their own yes-men and stooges and strangulate and crush everybody else particularly those who challenge their might and were not ready to become a sellable commodity, but pro-freedom people everywhere could never succumb to their nefarious designs.
