MUZAFFARABAD: Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Raja Farooq Haider Khan said that sacrifices rendered by Sudhan Tribe of Azad Kashmir in Liberation Struggle and democracy can never be overlooked.
In a statement here on Tuesday, he said that many stalwarts of Sudhan tribes especially Ghazi-e-Millat Sardar Muhammad Ibrahim Khan will be remembered for his critical role in Kashmir Freedom Movement for long time.
“I feel proud that our forefathers started a great struggle in the leadership of Sardar Muhammad Ibrahim Khan in 1950’s for the democratic rights of the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. This struggle paved the way for establishment of Legislative Assembly in the state,” Farooq Haider Khan stated.
He went on say that “All the tribes of Azad Kashmir fully participated in Kashmir liberation Struggle but the role of Sudhan Tribe was very prominent and inventive and above the all others”.
He said that some individuals, no matter from which tribes they belong to have no right to pass derogatory remarks against Sudhan tribe and Sardar Muhammad Ibrahim Khan. The AJK Government has great respect for all those who participated in the Kashmir Freedom Movement particularly Ghazi-e-Millat Sardar Muhammad Ibrahim Khan who was also founding president of the state, Prime Minister emphasized.
Meanwhile Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan took serious exception of the fire blazing in the forest of district Kotli and suspended several officials of the forest department for their failure to control the fire in the forest. The PM ordered immediate suspension from service Conservator Mirpur Circle Sed Gul Hussain Shah, Deputy Forest Officer Kotli Division Imran Sadiq, Range Officer Kotli Nakiyal, Raja Sajid Iqbal, DFO Mirpur Division Raja Jahanzaib Khizar, Range Officer Chiroi Raja Sait Khan, Range Officer Naar Mr Mehmood, Range Officer Dhadiyal Range Khalid Shehzad.
The PM also appointed Commissioner Mirpur Division Chaudhry Muhammad Tayyab as Inquiry Officer to investigate into the matter and directed him to submit his findings in 15 days.
