ISLAMABAD: PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi has been granted interim bail in four cases including parliament attack case.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi who is named in 4 cases including parliament case appeared before Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Islamabad Wednesday.
Judge Shah Rukh Arjumand granted him interim bail against surety bonds worth Rs 100000 till February 08.
Qureshi is named in four cases including PTV, Parliament attack and violence against SSP.
The court has directed Qureshi to appear before it on February 09. The other leaders of PTI including Asad Umar, Shireen Mazari, Shafqat Mehmood and Arif Alvi will also appear before court on February, 09.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan has already been granted bail in these four cases. The cases were registered against PTI leaders during 2014 sit in.
Talking to media men Shah Mehmood Qureshi said terrorism case registered against him was politically motivated and terror related clauses were included therein. The allegations leveled against him were fabricated.
He held Asif Zardari was president of the country and prime minister of the country was also from his party. He had then a good opportunity to announce Seraiki province. Zardari divided his party into south and north but he did not create province.
PTI wants Senate election are held in constitutional manner , he said adding it is feared certain forces will take such steps during the senate polls that will lead to pollute the entire process of polls.
He underlined talks about sale and purchase are running. How will a party which has not a single seat in Balochistan assembly clinch 6 seats of Senate therein, he questioned. It means there will be horse trading in Balochistan and sale and purchase will take place therein, he added. Horse trading is a stigma which should be averted, he remarked.
