DAVOS : Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has convened a meeting with Swiss Confederation President Doris Leuthard on Wednesday and informed him about Pakistan’s stance over Kashmir dispute with India.
The Prime Minister said that India is violating human rights in Kashmir valley for past at least seven decades and that Burhan Wani, a freedom fighter was extra-judicially martyred last year.
PM Nawaz admired impartial take of Switzerland on membership of Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG).
The President of Switzerland lauded Pakistan’s economic growth despite challenges and said that Swiss companies are willing to invest in Pakistan over favourable environment. He said that Pakistan played an important role by providing refuge to at least 3 million Afghanistan nationals.
The Prime Minister thanked the Swiss leader over provision of post-graduate scholarships to Pakistani students.
Earlier on Tuesday, PM Nawaz addressed World Economic Forum and while talking to the media, he said that the country’s economic figures are improving day by day and that Pakistan is progressing by leaps and bounds.
