GILGIT: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi arrived on a day long visit to Gilgit to inaugurate various development projects in Gilgit-Baltistan.
On his arrival he was received at Gilgit Airport by Governor Mir Ghazanafar Ali Khan, Chief Minister Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman and other high officials. Prime Minister visited to the yadgar-e- shaudah in Chinar Garden in Gilgit where he laid floral wreath at Yadgar and offered Fatiha to the heroes and martyrs of the liberation war of Gilgit Baltistan.
He inaugurated the building of Gilgit Baltistan Legislative Assembly.
The state of the art assembly building was completed at a cost of 910 million rupees in twelve years.
Prime Minister laid foundation stones of Gilgit Naltar expressway road project.
The project will be completed at a cost of 2.6 billion rupees in three years.
Gilgit Naltar expressway project after completion will reduce travel distance from two hours to half an hour will help promote tourism in GB.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi also laid foundation stone of Gilgit Baltistan secretariat project.
Now the Prime Minister is addressing to the joint session of Gilgit Baltistan Legislative assembly and Gilgit Baltistan Council.
