ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner (DHC) in Foreign Office (FO) and registered strong protest over martyrdom of a Pakistani citizen in firing by Indian troops on LoC.
According to statement issued by FO , Dr Muhammad Faisal Director General (DG) SAARC and South Asia summoned Indian DHC and voiced strong protest against LoC violation by Indian forces.
According to ISPR Indian forces resorted to unprovoked firing and shelling on Khanjar sector resulting into martyrdom of one Guftar Hussain, 52. Strong protest has been lodged with India over the violation of ceasefire agreement and martyrdom of a citizen. Indian DHC JP Singh was summoned and strong protest was lodged. Dr Faisal handed over a protest letter to JP Singh as well.
