Peshawar: (Parliament Times) Barrister Amjad Malik, the head of Overseas Pakistani Foundation, called on KPK Governor Engr. Iqbal Zaffar Jhagra, here on Wednesday.
On the occasion, the governor acknowledged the OPF Services across the globe and assured full support from the governor house. He stressed the need for adopting collective efforts to resolve overseas issues on emergency bases and we are working on numerous steps to bring further improvements for overseas Pakistani’s said Governor KPK.
Chairman OPF Barrister Amjad Malik commended the services of Engr. Iqbal Zaffar Jhagra had yielded positive results for peace and progressive KPK.
Chairman OPF and his team also the Supreme Court Branch Association of Pakistan at Peshawar, Muhammad Habib Qureshi ASC MEC KPK Supreme Court Bar Association welcomed the OPF Team delegation. Speaking on the ocassion, the Chairman OPF said that the Bars are central part and parcel of the system of judicial Administration. The lawyer’s community, he said, played a vital role for the rule of law and supremacy of the Constitution in the country. The Bar representative praised the efforts of the Mr. Barrister Amjad Malik Chairman OPF for overseas Pakistani’s. The delegation praised his leadership, devotion commitment, determination and efforts for the cause of overseas Pakistani and assured full support and cooperation.
During a daylong visit to the provincial capital, Chairman OPF Barrister Amjad along with his other delegates paid a visit to the terrorism-hit Army Public School where terrorists had killed most of the schoolchildren and their teachers on Dec 16.
The delegation offered fateha and paid homage to the deceased. The Chairman OPF Barrister Amjad Malik said that no religion allowed violence against innocent children and now the nation is united on one point agenda of eliminating terrorism, a task difficult but not impossible. The Chairman OPF Amjad Malik along-with his KPK members also attended a briefing on Army public School success and achievements for peaceful Pakistan.
