Quetta: JUI-F chief Maulana Fazl ur Rehman has said we had secured independence 70 years before but the objectives of the independence have not been achieved so far.
He said this while talking to media men here Friday. He held joint opposition has reposed confidence on him hoping PPP would withdraw its candidate keeping in view unity of opposition.
He stated that chances for joint opposition are bright and we believe that democracy and democratic institutions should become stable in the country.
He remarked we are still chained in international cobwebs and our economy and politics are under pressure. Therefore, it is incumbent on us that we should move ahead together to achieve the grand objectives of the independence. We should play such a role in national politics that we should feel that we are heading towards real achievement.
He observed that the posts of president and prime minister are achieved but in fact this is not our destination but these are avenues to destination. We will together have to move ahead.
He thanked Pakhtunkhawa Awami Milli party chief Mehmood Khan Achakzai for supporting him.
Achakzai said the real change will come in the country Maulana Fazl ur Rehman will be the president and Imran Khan the prime minister of Pakistan.
