MUZAFFARABAD: (Parliament Times) The activists of a nationalist student organization have withdrawn their planned strike call after government’s assurance to accept their demands. A delegation of the nationalist organization led by Azhar Kashir, Sardar Saleem, Ejaz Khan, Shahid Sharif, Nasir Sarwar, Raja Amin and Fasial Mughal met PMl-N member of AJK Legislative Assembly, Dr. Mustafa Bashir here on other day and apprised him of their demand and about the objectionable remarks against legendary freedom fighter Muhammad Maqbool Butt by senior advisor of Prime Minister. After the successful negotiation with the students, Mustafa Bashir told media persons on Sunday that senior advisor Khan Bhadar Khan will tender a written apologize on his comments about Maqbool Butt, a main road of city to be named after Maqbool Butt (Shaeed), death anniversary of the Kashmiri leader will be observed on government level every year while a memorial monument will also be constructed by the government. The PML-N legislator clarified that government has completely disassociated with the remarks of Advisor to government Khan Bhadar Khan about Maqbool Butt (Shaeed).The protestors thanked the MLA for accepting their demands.
