Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and the world over observe Accession to Pakistan Day on Wednesday with renewed pledge to continue the struggle for achievement of right to self-determination and to translate the idea of accession of the entire Jammu & Kashmir state to Pakistan.
The day is observed to commemorate the resolution adopted at the platform of All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference in Srinagar in 1947 demanding Kashmir’s accession to Pakistan.
In Mirpur, a seminar will be held with the coordination of various social, political, traders, and public representative organizations.
Various rallies are also being organized to reiterate complete solidarity with the people of Pakistan.
Meanwhile, All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman Syed Ali Gilani said the arrogant approach and wrong policies of India are continuously instigating bloodshed in the territory.
In a telephonic address to the people at the funeral prayers of a martyred youth, Showkat Ahmad Lohar, at Dialgam in Islamabad district of Indian occupied Kashmir, he said Indian troops are committing atrocities against innocent Kashmiris.
Referring to a recent statement of Indian Army Chief Bipin Rawat, Gilani said Kashmiri youth are being pushed to the wall and compelled to choose other options of resentment under a well thoughtout plan.
