Muzaffarabad: Kashmiris around the globe commemorated Indian Independence day as “Black Day” on the call of Hurriyat Conference.
A rally followed by a protest procession was held under the aegis of Pasbaan e Hurriat here on Wednesday, protestors were holding black flags besides band on their head and arms demonstrating their anger against Indian occupation.
Protestors were chanting slogans “We want freedom” and “Go India Go Back”, while the protestors were holding a banner stated that Indian Independence Day (15th August) is the Black day for Kashmiris’.
Chairman Pasbaan e Hurriat Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, Commander Hizb ul Mujahideen Muhammad Azam Ghazi, Shaukat Javed Mir, Director Kashmir Liberation Cell Raja Sajjad Latif, Yasir Naqvi, Muhammad Asif Makhdoomi, Usman Ali Hashim, Bilal Ahmed Farooqui, Sardar Liaqat Awan, Ch. Muhammad Ismail, Qazi Muhammad Khushal and others were also present in the rally.
While addressing to protest procession, Uzair Ahmed Ghazali said that the hard work and struggle for Kashmir liberation of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and Hurriat Leaders including Syed Ali Gillani, Mirwaiz Umer Farooq, Muhammad Yaseen Malik and Asia Andrabi are incomparable, “India has used every kind of weapon but failed to suppress the voice of Kashmiri people who only demand the
He added that every national day including Independence Day of India is the black day for Kashmiri until they get liberation from Indian occupation, “India is trying to occupy Kashmir by deteriorating human rights violations and massacre of innocent people in Kashmir in the presence of more than 0.7 million para military forces” he said.
Protestor also burnt Indian flag in the rally expressing their anger against the unjustified and cruel acts of Indian armed forces in occupied Kashmir.
Protestors demanded United Nations to implement its resolution on Kashmir and to play its role regarding Human rights violations in occupied Kashmir
They reiterated that India cannot deprive Kashmiris from their basic birthright for long and the global community should take notice of human rights violations and the indigenous struggle movement of Kashmir besides raising voice for their basic right of self-determination before long.
