Muzaffarabad: Hurriyet leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has said that settlement of the Kashmir dispute is imperative for durable peace in the region.
Mukhtar Ahmad Waza addressing a public gathering in Islamabad town said that Kashmiri people were the prime party to the Kashmir dispute and it could not be resolved without their involvement. He said that the Kashmiri people were peace-loving who were demanding their birthright to self-determination but India had turned the Kashmir into a valley of graveyards. He demanded immediate release of all illegally detained Kashmiri Hurriyet leaders and activists languishing in different jails and interrogation centres.
Meanwhile, Hurriyet leader, Firdous Ahmed Shah, addressing a public gathering at Aabi Guzar in Srinagar said that Kashmiri people were struggle to secure their birthright and would continue their struggle till complete success. He said that Indian government and its agents in the territory were trying to suppress the ongoing liberation movement but would never succeed in their designs.
