Islamabad: Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that said journalists are also being provided Health Cards under the Prime Minister’s Health Scheme.
She stated this while addressing MoU signing ceremony that as held between National Press Club (NPC) and PIMS hospital in Islamabad.
Minister said that government is focusing on provision of best health and education facilities to people across the country. She said journalists are also being provided Health Cards under the Prime Minister’s Health Scheme.
She said the protection of rights of journalists is a priority of the government as journalists have rendered sacrifices in the line of duty along with the country’s security forces.
She said that government is starving hard to issue health cards to journalists and added government always talk for the rights of journalists. During her address she also lauded the efforts and contributions of Press Club administration.
Regarding the journalists security bill she said that officially services of a lawyer has been held and soon a final draft would be presented. Under the singed MoU as many as 2800 journalists of Press Club would avail the free medical treatment.
