Islamabad : A two member bench of Islamabad High Court has acquitted the main convict of former Miss Sinagpore murder case.
The two member bench comprises Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhter Kayani issued the detailed verdict of the murder case here on Friday.
It is pertinent to mention here that the accused, Muaz Waqar, had confessed his crime and the police had also seized a weapon allegedly used in the murder. After proceeding, an additional session judge Islamabad sentenced the accused in the murder of former Miss Singapore to death and life imprisonment to his accomplice in the murder case.
The accused lawyer’s later appealed to the Islamabad High Court which on Friday issued a detailed verdict. Due to lack of evidences, the court on Friday null and void the previous verdict and order to free Waqar.
Former Miss Singapore Fahima Chaudhary was killed when she returned to Pakistan and got to touch with a property dealer to purchase property in Islamabad. Following the murder, the Aabpara police registered a blind murder case under section 394.
In the detailed verdict, it is stated that the accused was neither witnessed with the victim nor he was seen while dumping the body. According to the report, the police was already known where the body of the victim Miss Singapore was dumped
The report also states no evidence of selling the stolen jewellary were available.
