MIRPUR (AJK): A civilian was martyred as a result of unprovoked firing by the Indian troops at the forward area of LoC in Khanjar sector of Bhuimbher district of Azad Jammu Kashmir on Monday, official sources said.
Indian troops resorted to unprovoked firing targeting civilian populous areas in Khanjar sector of line of control on Monday which led to the martyrdom of a local Civilian resident identified as 51-year-old Guftar Hussain son of Gul Hussain, Incharge officer of the Areas’ Choki Police station confirmed to this Correspondent when contacted on Monday evening.
At the same time, ISPR said in its press release on Monday “In continuation of violation of cease fire understanding, Indian army resorted to unprovoked firing and targetted civilian population in Khanjar Sector of Line of Control (LoC) today”.
“A civilian namely Guftar Hussain, age 51 years , resident of village Jhamra, embraced Shahadat due to unprovoked mortar shelling of Indian troops.
Responding to this aggression, Pakistan Army posts retaliated effectively and engaged enemy posts involved in unprovoked fire on innocent civilian population”, the PR added.
