ISLAMABAD: Saudi government has made biometric verification mandatory for all Saudi bound Pakistanis and Pakistani Umrah pilgrims from January 1, 2018.
Sources said Saudi embassy has directed the respective company Aitmad to activate all its centres in Pakistan so that the intending pilgrims and others could undergo verification process in the nearest centre.
This step has been taken to facilitate citizens from other countries including Pakistan for travelling to Saudi Arabia and security of Saudi citizens.
Sources said Saudi Arabia will not change its laws on the demand of any organization and on the other hand the citizens will have to abide by Saudi laws.
Aitmad company director told Online that 20 centres of his organization are functional in Pakistan and Aitmad offices have been activated with all the facilities.
He appealed to Pakistanis to settle time with company before coming in the office.
