Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) The AJK Legislative Assembly met in Muzaffarabad today with Speaker Shah Ghulam Qadir in chair. The assembly session reviewed the latest situation obtaining in Occupied Kashmir besides usual legislation.
The Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Raja Nisar Ahmed Khan, Information Minister Mushtaq Ahmed Minhas, Forest Minister Sardar Mir Akbar, Revenue Minister Sardar Farooq Sikandar and other members submitted resolutions in the house on unprovoked Indian forces shelling from across the Line of Control, Firing on a passenger coaster and ambulance in Neelum Valley, and felicitation to Chief of Armed Forces General Qamar Javed Bajwa which were unanimously passed.
The session unanimously approved legislation bill “Azad Jammu and Kashmir Service Tribunal Ordinance Act 2016â€,  and Enforcement of Hudood Amendment Act 2016. Legislation bills of “Companies Profit Act 2016†AJK Shops and Establishment Amendment Act 2016, AJK Forced Labour Act 2016 and AJK Employees Old Age Benefits Act 2016 were referred to Standing Committee unanimously.
During question hour Minister for Electricity Raja Nisar Ahmed told the House that Electricity department has purchased lands at Chattarklas for grid station but the scheme for its construction has not yet been approved. He was replying to a question of MLA Raja Abdul Qayyum. Replying to the question of MLA Chaudhry Yasin Gulshin Minister for Public Health Dr. Najib Naqqi said that present government has taken measures for construction of Tehsil Headquarter Hospital Abbaspur. He said its PC-I at a cost of five crore sixtyfive lakh rupees had been approved.
