AIOU honours Prof. Zubair Sajid for his excellent services

Islamabad:(Parliament Times) To mark the recognition of the services of outgoing Regional Director of Muzaffarabad Prof Muhammad Zubair Sajid an award from the AIOU Vice Chancellor was conferred to him in a special session of all Pakistan Regional Directors Conference at AIOU Main Campus Islamabad. Director Regional Services Dr. Mian Arif Saleem appreciated the proactive role of Prof Zubair as regional head. He said that his job is worth all recognition for he has performed a herculean job in creating and maintaining a good clientele network in the region. He acknowledged that the outgoing RD had succeeded in bringing a manifold increase in AIOU enrollment in AJK. The AIOU congratulates him on the successful completion of his term and passes on good wishes for his future. He called his historical tenure as a role model for other regions of AIOU to follow since he had put all his efforts persistently in enhancing and upholding image of AIOU in the region.

Some of the other senior regional directors who spoke at the occasion and paid glowing tributes to the services of Prof Zubair Sajid include Dr. Ubaid Aslam from Faisalabad, Dr. Daud Khatak from Peshawar, Kh Sabir Hussain from Bahawalpur, Dr. Malik Tauqir from Rawalpindi, Rao Zufiqar, and others. The session was presided over by the senior most regional director Sheikh Inam of Hyderabad Region who also gave a round of applause for the outgoing RD in his address. Prof Zubair Sajid in his address thanked the entire RD community for making excellent arrangements and hosting a graceful dinner. He paid Syed Qamar ud din from Quetta, Syed Qamar ud din from Quetta, thanks on behalf of the people and AIOU students of Muzaffarabad Region and applauded the AIOU authorities for the approval of phase II with a construction cost of Rs.40 million. The project envisages a state of the art and beautiful complex comprising six halls, 15 lecture theatres, a digital library, and two capacious hostels to accommodate the male and female workshop participating students of the remotest areas of the region.

Lastly, a farewell dinner was hosted by the participating regional heads. Earlier he was welcomed by the Director Regional Services and other hosting senior RDs who received him by presenting him an AIOU floral bouquet.
