QUETTA: (Parliament Times) Three-day anti-polio drive will be started in Balochistan from Monday.
All necessary arrangements have already been finalized.
Addressing a press conference, the provincial coordinator Emergency Operation Centre Balochistan Syed Faisal Ahmed has said that during the drive nearly 2.5 million children below five year of age would be administered anti-polio vaccination.
He said that Vitamin-A drops would also be administered to the children.
Syed Faisal said that for this purpose, more than nine thousand mobile teams have been constituted which would administer.
Moreover, eight hundred and fifteen fixed points and three hundred and thirty seven transit points have also been set up to facilitate the parents to get their children vaccinated.
He said that foolproof security arrangements have also been made to provide protection to the polio teams while discharging their duties.
