Islamabad: (Parliament Times) Jammu Kashmir National Front deputy chairman, Altaf Hussain Wani has strongly condemned the police attack on historic Jamia Masjid Srinagar.
Terming the attack as unacceptable, Altaf Hussain Wani said that such uncivilised acts if not stopped can prove disastrous for peace. Spilling blood of worshippers on the floor of Jamia Masjid clearly indicates that either the rulers have no control over their institutions or they use police to make people surrender their political rights.Targeting Srinagar Jamia Masjid every now and then indicates that so called rulers and their puppets want to damage the institution of Jamia Masjid however the people of Kashmir will resist every such criminal move so that the torch of resistance is kept burning.
Altaf Hussain Wani said that police actions around Jamia Masjid are also aimed at damaging the business of the area.
Expressing sympathy with the injured, National Front said that firing pellets on people on fast is a criminal act of those trying to prove themselves more loyal than the king and enjoying power which is undemocratic and unethical. He prayed for speedy recovery of the injured.
