Islamabad: Federal Minister for Education Balighur Rehman has said that sans the provision of professional education the economic progress is impossible.
He said this while addressing the International Technical Conference in Islamabad. He said during the current year 100000 youth have been imparted professional and technical training and vocational training schools have been opened for the children.
Federal Minister for Education Balighur Rehman further said the number of children not going to school in Pakistan has decreased three fold.
He said in the past Pakistan remained politically instable and there were terrorist attacks on daily basis and schools have been destroyed in various parts of the country. He said the present government has made progress in the fields of education and health. He added that the law enforcement institutions have rendered enormous sacrifices. He said it is the first time that national skill strategy has been adopted in Pakistan.
