Islamabad : The Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday rejected a Balochistan government’s report on cutting of trees in Pishin and sought a detailed report within 15 days.
During the hearing of suo motu notice, a two-member apex court bench headed by Justice Azmat Saeed Khosa and comprising Justice Qazi Faiz directed the communication and works secretary, who had prepared the report, to appear in the court in the next hearing.
Justice Isa remarked it seemed an incapable officer had prepared the report. He said that Balochistan officers were needed to be educated on constitution. However, the additional advocate general has viewed that allocated funds would he wasted if road not complete.
Upon which, Justice Isa said that the court had not barred construction of the road, but cutting of trees. The court then adjourned the hearing of the case and ordered submission of the report within a fortnight.
