Islamabad: Pakistan and European Union signed grant financing agreement on promotion of human rights in Pakistan amounting to Euro 9.6 million.
The agreement will support the continued efforts of the government of Pakistan for the promotion of human rights. It also envisages enhancing the capacity of the federal and provincial institutions and would also promote and create awareness in the area of human rights in collaboration with ministry of Human Rights, government of Pakistan.
Secretary, Economic Affairs division, Arif Ahmed Khan and European Union Deputy Head of Mission to Pakistan, Ms. Anne Marchal signed the agreement on behalf of government of Pakistan and European Union, respectively.
