Islamabad: Thousands of examiners and exams’ staff of Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will get enhanced remuneration of their duties from spring 2017 semester.
This decision to this effect was taken by the University’s Executive Council on the recommendations of the Finance Committee.
This is in line with the new initiatives taken by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Siddiqui to enhance quality of education.
This is also part of qualitative improvement brought about in the University’s overall examination system during the last three years.
A formal notification, giving details of the increase has also been issued. The increase will also be applied to the papers’ checking staff and thousands of University’s tutors who are engaged in various academic programs. Raise given in the remuneration took place after a long-gap.
Those who will take benefit of the increase include all those who are deputed on the conduct of exams and papers’ evaluation. Allied staff of lower grade will also get the benefit.
According to the notification, the utility charges that occur in the conduct of examination and papers’ evaluation process have also been increased.
