Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, clashes erupted between protesters and Indian troops during cordon and siege operations in Pulwama and Islamabad districts.
The troops cordoned off Rang mullah area of Pulwama and launched search operations. Youth took to streets and pelted stones on the troops, who lobbed teargas shells on the protesters.
Meanwhile, the personnel of Indian army, police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) also launched a joint operation in Kokernag area of Islamabad district. The troops conducted door-to-door searches in the area.
