Rawalpindi: The Nanbais have hiked the price of chapatti by Rs 2 each after wanton increase in prices of wheat by the flour mills owners and atta dealers in Rawalpindi.
According to media reports , the price of pateri roti has been enhanced from Rs 7 to 9 and khameri roti from Rs 8 to 10.
The flour mills owners have increased the price of wheat per bag Rs 70 while atta dealers have also increased the prices of atta from Rs 100 to Rs 120 per bag. The atta bags are being provided to nanbais at the rate of Rs 3400 .
The nanbais have formally informed the Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi about the current increase in the prices of roti.
It is worth-mentioning here that price of roti has also been increased in some areas of the city and in the areas of Rawalpindi city and cantt the price of chapatti will be increased during the current week.
Sardar Sadiq, leader of the Nanbai Association Rawalpindi in a statement said that price of roti has been increased after the hike in prices of wheat and atta by flour mills owners.
