URREE: Non disbursement of salaries to the lower grade employees of 5 Union Council (UCs) of Municipal Corporation Murree has put the employees and their families on the brink of starvation.
According to media reports that employees complained that Eid is ahead and they have not a single penny in their pockets to purchase clothes for them and their children. “How can we share a sacrificial animal on the eve of Eid ul Azha when we can not purchase a single poultry bird for our children, said a poor employee.
The street shops have refused to provide us eatables and commodities on credit, said another employees while giving voice to his protest.
In fact no election has been held in these five union councils including Murree city, Nimbal Ghora Galli, Dharja Jawa, Tarait and Charban. Therefore neither any chairman or administrator is appointed therein to run the affairs of these union councils. .
The employees have appealed to Prime Minister to ensure payment of their salaries to them before Eid so that they could celebrate it in a befitting manner.
