Islamabad: (Parliament Times) British High Commissioner Thomas Drew on Wednesday called on Speaker National Assembly (NA) Ayaz Sadiq at his residence to discuss bilateral relations, regional security situation of and matters of mutual interest.
Matters related to mutual economic, diplomatic and defence ties came under the discussion during the meeting.
Speaking at the occasion Speaker NA said that Pakistan wanted to strengthen ties with its friendly countries on priority basis to benefit from mutual resources and capabilities.
British High Commissioner said we also wanted to extend and bolster bilateral ties with Pakistan. However stability will come in Pakistan due to continuation of democratic process therefore continuity in democratic process should be ensured at any cost.
