Turbat, (Parliament Times) : The entry tests of various academic programs of the University of Turbat were conducted on the 16th of December 2023 for the upcoming Spring Session 2024.
The university received over 1400 applications for admission in twenty-two various academic disciplines in the main campus and city campus. Among the candidates, 40 percent were female that signifies the quality education and learning environment of the university.
The University of Turbat’s Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad, along with Dr. Mansoor Ahmed, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Abdul Saboor Baloch, Dean, Literature and Languages, Dr. Haneef Ur Rahman, Dean Faculty of Science, Engineering and IT, Ganguzar Baloch, Registrar, Dr. Adeel Ahmed, Dean Academics, and Dr. Riaz Ahmed Director QEC visited all entry test centers. Dr. Abdul Majid Nasir, Controller of Examinations, supervised the entire management of the entry test. The Vice-Chancellor commended the efforts of heads of teaching departments, admission cell, and administrative staff of the university for conducting the tests in an organized and systematic manner. He expressed satisfaction with the arrangements and appearance of candidates across Balochistan. The University of Turbat provided transport to the candidates of Turbat City, Hoshab, and Nasirabad regions, and hostel facility was available for temporary accommodation of the candidates from far-flung areas such as Mand, Tump, Buleda, Gwadar, Awaran, Panjgur, Washuk & Surab. For the facilitation of the candidates, the Vice Chancellor declared this Saturday as a working day.
According to the officials of the University of Turbat, the admission process will be completed by the end of December and classes for the Spring Session 2024 will commence from the 2nd week of January 2024. The merit lists of the qualified candidates will be uploaded on the university website within the given time.
