The heavy rains have caused flooding in many areas of the provinces which has severely damaged the homes, livestock, infrastructure and crops. Since mid-June, monsoon rains have caused urban and flash flooding in many areas of both Balochistan and Sindh. Lasbela district, in Balochistan, is one the severely paralyzed areas that has seen devastation of thousands of homes, observed highest death toll, infrastructure damage, electricity outage and communication cuts.Besides, hill torrent has swept away around two hundred homes, displaced hundreds of people and left them stranded under the open sky. It has also damaged solar panels, tube wells and other infrastructures like roads, railways, and bridges which led to inter-provincial and intra-provincial suspension of transportation. Similarly, Sindh also has been badly hit by constant spells of monsoon rains which has resulted in heavy loss of lives, infrastructures and crops in many districts in the province. Jacobabad, Sukkur, Dadu, Khairpur, Karachi and few more are the districts that has sustained the unbearable damage. Among the rain-hit districts in Sindh, severely damaged districts is Mirpur Khas whose population has been displaced due to strong flash-flooding causing collapse of mud houses due to which hundreds of people remained stranded without tents under the open sky. Peoples are facing hard time these days, it is the sole responsibility of the government to provide speedy rehabilitation and relief services to them in this trying situation.
