Islamabad: (Parliament Times) AJK President Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan has said that Indian Army equipped with most modern war arsenal has failed to defeat the spirited people Jammu and Kashmir. He said that people of Kashmir are destined to get freedom from India sooner a later. He expressed these views while addressing Kashmir Conference jointly organized by Ideology of Pakistan Council and Daily Pakistan Observer here on the other day. Paying glowing tributes to the valiant people of Kashmir for waging a historical struggle against the foreign rule in Kashmir and offering supreme scarifies, president called upon the international community to take notice of the Indian barbarities and crimes being committed against the humanity.
Expressing his dismay over the apathy of would powers who see the global issues through the prism of their own political and economic interest, president said that Kashmir remained unresolved issue for last seventy years because of the double standard of international community. He said that world should realize the facts that unresolved Kashmir issue will continue to remain a serious threat for the peace and security of south Asia. It is the responsibility of the global community including united nation to settle this issue for the greater interest of peace in the region, he added.
Describing Kashmir has jugular vein of Pakistan, president urged the intellectual and conscientious people of the country to boost the courage of the people instead of spreading despondency. The president also paid tribute to late Zahid Malik for his services for the cause of Kashmir and said that late Malik would be remembered as true patriot and kind hearted person for long. The conference was also addressed by Prime Minister’s National Security Advisor Lt. General Retired Muhammad Nasir Janjua, former Prime Minister AJK Prime Minister Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan, Fasial Zahid Malik , Ms Mashar Malik, Hurriyat Leaders Syed Yousaf Naseem, Ghulam Muhammad Safi,Mir Tahir Masood and Shahnawaz Agha.
