Islamabad: (Parliament Times) 97th NTC Management Board meeting was held here at NTC headquarters on Monday.
Federal Secretary Ministry of IT, Mr. Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui chaired the meeting while board members; Additional Finance Secretary Dr. Ahmed Mujtaba Memon, Executive Director, NITB Mr. Shabahat Ali Shah and Managing Director NTC Brig (R) Viqar Rashid Khan were in attendance.
The management board reviewed the progress on decisions taken in last board meeting. In order to reduce the OPEX and HR cost, the board approved the reduction in sanctioned strength from 3305 to 2479. This would enable NTC to save Rs. 233.5 Million per annum, on account of OPEX/HR cost. Additionally the board gave its approval for investment of NTC’s own and trust funds as well as appointment of auditors, among other administrative approvals.
