Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) Chief Secretary of AJ&K, Mian Waheed ud Din paid visit to Thori Children Park, on the bank of river Jehlum here on the Wednesday evening and inspected the ongoing work of re construction of the Children Park and expressed satisfaction over the progress of the work.
Chairman Development Authority Muzaffarabad, Malik Ayaz Ahmed briefed the Chief Secretary on design, area and facilities that would be provided to the visitors in the Park.
The Chief Secretary took keen interest in the proposed design of Park and suggested that there should be “Crossing Bridge “ over the river to beatify the park and adjacent locality and also there should be plantation on the bank of the river along the boundary of the park.
On the occasion, the chief secretary gave directions to the department of Local Government and Rural Development for setting up the “Crossing Bridge” over the river.
He also directed the department of Forests for plantation on the other side of the river to create scenic beauty.
District administration was also present on the occasion.
Later, the chief Secretary ,toured the Officers Club Hall,on the Bank Road and viewed the capacity and facilities in the Club. AJK minister for Revenue Sardar Farooq Sikandar, Secretary Housing and Physical Planning Muhammad Idress Abbasi and retired secretary Shoukat Jan Buch were also present on the occasion.
The Chief Secretary asked the District administration to call a meeting of the all stakeholders in Chief Secretary’s office during the upcoming week to resolve the issues of the Club amicably.
